Managing your information shadow

I have talked briefly about your digital shadow before. Your information shadow is all the information that is being generated about you by others. For the average person this is now estimated to be growing at a faster rate than the new information you are creating for yourself. A rather scary concept!

Computerworld has an article which looks at some of the ways that you can try and manage this shadow. One interesting idea is to set up a google alert on your name! Has anyone ever done this?
